A new Chaplaincy Centre at Hillingdon Hospital was inaugurated on the 19th April 2002 as multi-faith and inter-denominational, providing Chaplains and consisting of Chapel, Prayer Rooms and Viewing Room. |
| Church of England Eucharist Wednesdays 11.30am, Sunday 3.00pm |
Roman Catholic Mass Tues 4:00 pm & Sun 4:00 pm (Eucharist Service when a priest is not available) |
Some wards are visited regularly by Chaplaincy staff, others on request. Ministers and pastoral visitors covering the main Christian Churches and all religious practice and World Faiths are available. Our guiding philosophy is to respond to your invitation.
A room is made available to patients and visitors, for them to pray. The prayer room is situated on the lower ground floor at Hillingdon Hospital and next to the reception area in the main building at Mount Vernon Hospital. It is normally locked, but the door code is available from Reception in the Main Entrance or from Ward staff.
The Chapel, dedicated to St. Luke, has facilities for all World faiths to worship and pray, available for staff, patient and visitor alike. St Lukes Chapel is situated on the Lower Ground Floor at Hillingdon Hospital. The opening times are 8.30am to 8.00pm.
Those wishing to be with someone who has died should arrange this with the ward or department from which the deceased came. Chaplains are available to be with the bereaved, if requested. The viewing room at Hillingdon Hospital is situated on the Lower Ground Floor (next to the Mortuary).
