Orthopaedics

Patients are referred from their GP to an orthopaedics clinic at either Hillingdon Hospital or Mount Vernon Hospital

The orthopaedics team provides the treatment of bones which have not grown correctly or which have been damaged. Following a GP referral, patients are offered a consultation, when your case will be discussed and a plan for rehabilitation or further investigation discussed. The team recognises provides full after-care to all patients, offering comprehensive rehabilitation guidelines with ongoing consultant communication.

The patient/surgeon partnership is key to the treatment so please feel free to discuss your rehabilitation with the consultant or a member of the orthopaedics team at any stage. Your personalised rehabilitation programme will provide your joints with the best environment for effective healing, and you will both agree on a suitable length of time for your programme of rehabilitation movements.
