Inpatients: Patient Line

Patient Line is a bedside system for patients providing TV, telephone and radio. It gives the patient the opportunity to keep in touch with loved ones, to enjoy watching favourite television programmes and to listen to any choice of radio station.

Patient Line Patientline works in partnership with NHS Trusts to deliver a range of focussed solutions designed to reduce hospital staff workload and improving patient care. See the Patientline website.

Calls from the bedside cost from just 10p a minute. Calls to the bedside cost 39p per minute off-peak and 49p at all other times. (Please note call charges to or from international destinations, mobiles and other networks may vary).

Television has a choice of 16 channels. The national pricing policy is £3.50 a day for TV, with concessions available for patients aged 60 and over. Additional concessions are available for long stay patients. All patients can enjoy 1 hour of free television each day and television is FREE for all children aged 16 and under.

All radio stations are free to use at all times. Both Hillingdon Hospital and Mount Vernon have their own (independent) radio stations, Radio Hillingdon (opens new window) and Radio Mount Vernon.
