Cancelling Your Appointment

We understand that unexpected events can prevent you from attending your arranged clinic appointment. However, one in five of our patients fail to inform us that they can not keep their booking. This costs the Trust approximately £50 for each appointment missed. It also means we are not using our trained staff efficiently and other patients who do attend on time are kept waiting longer.

Cancelling Your ‘New’ Appointment

If you are a ‘new’ patient and you need to cancel your booked appointment please contact the appropriate department below:

  • Gynaecology – 01895 279899.
    Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.   
  • Diabetic Care – 01895 279229.
    Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. On a Friday please call before 12 p.m.
  • Elderly Care – 01895 279297
    The department is open Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Maternity – 01895 279442.
    Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm
  • For all other specialties please contact the Booking Centre on 01895 279200 or email: bookingcentre@thh.nhs.uk
    The Booking Centre is open from 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

Cancelling Your ‘Follow-Up’ Appointment

If you are a ‘follow up’ patient and you need to cancel your booked appointment please refer to your letter for the contact telephone number.
