About us: Equality and diversity

Equality and diversity are at the heart of the NHS strategy. Investing in the NHS workforce allows us to deliver a better service and improve patient care in the NHS.  The 2017 Census has reported that 47% of Hillingdon’s population are from an ethnic minority.  Similarly the Trust employs 39% of staff from a black and minority ethnic group.

It is our belief that everyone can participate and be given the opportunity to fulfil their potential. We recognise people are different and value everyone equally.  We aim to create a working culture and practices that recognise respect, value and harness difference for the benefit of the organisation and the individual, including patients.

The Trust is committed to providing a high quality, accessible and responsive service, provided by staff who reflect the local community, putting the patient at the heart of everything we do.
