About us

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was established on 1st April 2011 when Monitor authorised the organisation as an NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust provides health services at two hospitals in North West London: Hillingdon and Mount Vernon.

We provide clinical services to over half a million patients a year, including over 94,000 Emergency Department attendances. As an NHS Foundation Trust, we have a 25-strong Council of Governors and over 6,000 public members. We employ over 3,500 staff making us one of Hillingdon’s largest employers. The Board of Directors, led by Chairman Richard Sumray comprises of seven Non-Executive and
six Executive Directors.

Your Choice

If you need to go to hospital to see a specialist, you have the right to choose which hospital you're referred to by your GP. You can choose a hospital according to what matters most to you, whether it's location, waiting times, reputation, clinical performance, visiting policies, parking facilities or patients’ comments.

What's special about our services

Hillingdon Hospital is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.
