Jobs: Voluntary work

Our volunteers play an important role, helping our staff make the hospital experience better for patients. Voluntary support is committed to recruiting individuals from a spectrum of the community. They match individual skills/experience to appropriate placements, with training and support to develop skills.

If you are over 17 years old, live locally and want more information about these roles, contact our PALS/Voluntary Services Team on 01895 279973.

Volunteering positions available

Have you got what it takes to be a Macmillan Cancer Information Centre volunteer?

The Macmillan Centre at the Hillingdon Hospital offers free, confidential information and support to everyone affected by cancer.

People receiving a cancer diagnosis will usually have lots of questions about the illness and proposed treatments: It is vital there is somewhere safe and trustworthy where they can talk to someone and find things out.

Family, friends and people who are worried about cancer may also need information and support. Our centre is set up to provide a service to a wide range of people, with different experiences and needs.

We need a number of volunteers for a variety of roles. Please click on the documents below to find out more about each role and how to apply.
