Bags of Love

We have been humbled by the many kind offers of support for our staff during this particularly demanding time. While we appreciate everyone's kind thoughts and actions, we need to ensure that members of the public do not visit our hospital sites unnecessarily. This is to protect their own health, reduce the risk to our staff and patients, and to encourage everyone to follow the Government's advice. Our staff are also focused on the response to Covid-19 and do not have the capacity to manage lots of ad-hoc donations.

Bags of Love for our staff

To support our staff, we are putting together ‘Bags of Love’ for our nurses, cleaners, porters, therapists, doctors and other staff. This initiative is partly in response to calls from the public asking how they can best show their support to the NHS. If you would like to contribute to the Bags of Love, either:

Hillingdon & Mount Vernon Hospitals Staff Wellbeing Fund

We are collecting funds that will allow us to purchase key items that our staff will need to support their welfare during this period. These will be put in to the Bags of Love, given out to staff. Please donate via our dedicated ‘JustGiving’ page 'Hillingdon & Mount Vernon Hospitals Staff Wellbeing Fund' for monetary donations towards this appeal. Please see the link below.

We have also set up an Amazon wish list for items for the Bags of Love. The wish list includes items our staff have identified that would make a difference to them, such as moisturisers, lip balms, shower gels and energy drinks. Please use the link below if you would like to purchase any items listed for our hard-working staff.
