Date published: 29 June 2022

The Trust latest podcast has Danny Karystinos, our Trust Diversity and Inclusion Lead, talking about the staff LGBT+ Network for staff, and taking a look at the events happening on London Pride Day.

The LGBT+ Allies Staff Network was formed in September 2018 and the main focus is to provide a trust-wide forum. They have social activities, key events, and seek opportunities to influence the trust policies concerning LGBT. This year they will also participate in the London Pride parade on Saturday 2 July.

The network also exists to enhance the experience of LGBT+ patients and visitors, to celebrate the contribution of LGBT people to the life and work of our hospitals to support LGBT staff who work within the trust and also to shape the trust policy and practices concerning LGBT+ related issues.

The London Pride event is a parade that will be held on Saturday the 2 of July. It starts at noon at Hyde Park Corner, and continue to Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket and Trafalgar Square.

The Trust is taking part, jointly participating with other London trusts.
