Covid-19 Research Studies at Hillingdon Hospital

Hillingdon Research & Development Team are participating in a number of national COVID-19 research studies:

ISARIC/WHO Clinical Characterisation Protocol for Severe Emerging Infections in the UK (CCP-UK)

ISARIC are an international consortium (a network of networks) who investigate novel pathogens causing severe acute respiratory illness (SARI) and emerging infections of public health importance. In the UK this observational study is led by the Universities of Liverpool and Oxford.

Latest report using the collected data

Randomisation evaluation of COVID-19 therapy (RECOVERY)

This is the world’s largest randomised clinical trial of potential coronavirus treatments. RECOVERY is led by University of Oxford researchers. ┬áIt aims to compare several different treatments that may be useful for patients with COVID-19.

By offering our patients an opportunity to enrol into the research trial they may have access to treatments not currently available on the NHS  while at the same time helping to answer vital research questions.

Pregnancy and Neonatal Outcomes in COVID-19: PAN-COVID

A global registry of women with suspected or confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection in pregnancy and their neonates, understanding natural history to guide treatment and prevention.

This study is led by Imperial College London and funded by the MRC.
