The Bereavement Office

The Bereavement Office is located in the main Hillingdon Hospital building, next to the Cashiers' Office.

We try to contact the relatives of deceased patients at the earliest opportunity, usually on the next working day, following a death in our hospital. We prepare the required paperwork which is sent directly to the registrar’s office at the London Borough of Hillingdon. The Bereavement Office will contact relatives to advise if a patient's property needs to be collected.

In order to collect any personal belongings, the documented next of kin or that person’s authorised deputy will need to make an appointment with the Bereavement Office on 01895 279354, 8am-3.30pm, Monday-Friday.

We offer information and assistance to enable the relatives to move forward with the legal requirements and funeral arrangements that are necessary. We also look after the affairs and funeral arrangements for patients who unfortunately die with no known next of kin.
